A lot of the country is in a drought, we have had a good bit.  Last week we were having a few days without rain, cut 25 acreas of hay.  When it got dry enough to bale got started got 3 round bales before it started raining.  Rained enough every day until there's nothing left to bale on this cutting.  Grass is up to about 6 inches already.

We got a good rain yesterday here.  First in several weeks.   Plowed deep Saturday and it was all dry down.   Opened the lid to the spring house and saw mud down in the bottom.   No water at all.   We are now in a Federal disaster area due to the drought.   At least they pump water at the mud bog for this weekend.

New England has been pretty dry.  July we only had about 1/4".  Then we started getting nightly heavy thunderstorms.  My fields of tomatoes went from super healthy with nice fruit set to nailed by leaf spot in 2-3 days with about half the fruit being lost.

5.18" here in western IL (Morgan County) about 60 miles east of Hannibal Mo and 90 N of St. Louis

May help late-planted beans, but that's about it.

Nice sunrise Friday ahead of storm, tho.
