Can I expect a big honey flow from Goldenrod?

I live in southwest VA and goldenrod, I assume, is in full bloom. Will this produce a large honey flow? I am just wandering if I need to add more supers.

My theory is this- if there is something blooming and a necter flow is coming and the hive needs room fore stores= I put a super on or remove some fully capped honey frames and replace them with empties. Because believe me- if you don't they are still get it but they will build comb in all the wrong places- making it miserable messy for the keeper the next time you go in. lee...

Tbeek--you've had good honey production? I had pretty good for me, especially considering a crazy long drought.

We had considerably more rain than Central Wisconsin (you folks had desert weather just 100 miles south of me) despite some drought conditions. 

Still; That said and dispite the extraordinary year (most honey we've taken in several years) we've had so far, everything seems early to me.  :? and I've got 8 healthy colonies going into winter.

Glad to hear it! I haven't been in the hives since I pulled honey in August, but I hope all is well in mine also. And lots of goldenrod blooming all around me.

In Northwest Wisconsin the Goldenrod is nearly done, with Asters right behind.  I've reduced the space of all hives and now they wait to be wrapped for winter, which I'll do by the end of October. 

We had 39F 2 nights ago.  Things are slowing down.
