Sour Kraut

Got a call from over by Springfield, 35 miles east about noon

Was kind of skeptical, but it was a nice day and needed a road trip

Decent sized swarm, maybe 1 to 1.5 pounds, clustered on the trunk of a 7-8 ft Scotch Pine

Got them in a hive with no trouble, going to pick them up Monday when the home-owner gets back.

looks great. did you happen to find the queen

Sour Kraut

did not see her

but there was a point at which a mass ingress started, I assume when she went in

Had a swarm cast a couple years ago in September...in N/W Wisconsin!

It happens.

I  hived 2 swarms  on Aug. 27 and 28 but they sure are building fast they better. Not much time left.
I seen eggs with in 5 days.
Good luck.
