Hi guys, I got called out yesterday to collect another swarm yesterday.
While I was on my way over I got another call to say the swarm had moved on but I decided to go look around anyway.
When I arrived there were maybe half a dozen bees hanging around the tree where they were and then gradually more and more bees started returning.

When I found and captured the queen she looked to be hurt/damaged. I'm not sure if I hurt her when catching her in the cage or if she is deformed? She seemed to be paralysed down the left hand side of her body. Anyone see this before?

Hopefully she'll live for a while and the workers will raise a new queen. I'd give them a frame or 2 of very young brood from another hive if you can.

I released the queen a little bit earlier and she was getting about fine though the left hand side of her body still wasn't working.  :?
