So all of my hives are are at the top box.  So fondant was out on my hives.  It is sandwiched between wax paper.  Then we had a cold snap with multiple cold days.  It was warm the other day so I checked to make sure it didn't need to be replaced.  One of my hives had a decent number of dead bees on top of the fondant.  I figured that they went up there to munch and froze away from the cluster.  Anybody experience this before?  I have my fondant stored in tupper wear containers.  Could I simply invert these over my top bars?  General thoughts?

Edit-I am sorry.  I meant to put this in the general beekeeping section, but was already in this section.  So I accidentally put it here.  Mods can move if they'd like.
Keeping bees since 2011.

Also please excuse the typos.  My iPad autocorrect can be brutal.

They should eat it from the bottom up.  Peel back the paper for them.  And with the tubs, ya, just dump it on top.
