My boys all suited up at the bee yard where we got our bees.

I had to reply to this photo because it is so darn cute.   You will have a lot of help with these 2.

Best of luck with your new adventure.  From what I have been reading of your posts, you are diving in head first. It is good that you have lots of help if you need it.  I started beekeeping in 2006 with 1 hive and I had absolutely no one to come over and help me for the first year. I made many mistakes, but managed to build up to 4-5 hives which is the number I have kept all these years.  This year has been a bad one for me, as I lost all my hives except 1.

When I found this forum, then I started to get all the help I needed.

I really like the video of the colored hive boxes. Did you paint them this way?

Thanks!
@ Annette - Tha castle hive I stenciled and spray painted the brick patern, the knights and dragons are stickers. The other hive is a big mess. I tried to 'wall paper' it but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it but the bees don't mind, lol.

My boys are loving it so far even if the little one is scared of the bees one moment then the next he doesn't mind them again. In the pic he is wearing my hat as he didn't have a suit of his own yet but now I have bought him his own little suit so Mommy can have her hat back. LOL.
