I will be a new beekeeper come Spring I'm just trying to get all the info I can on beekeeping before then and I thought this forum would be a good source of info

Welcome to the forum   :cheer:
It is a fantastic source for info and getting answers to questions.  I suggest you change your location to your town and state so we can give more relevant answers. Also look for a local bee club that has a mentoring program.  -Mike

Allan,
Welcome to the forum, fair warning...being a Beek is a bit addictive.  :-D

Lots of decisions to be made between now and spring...
Will you build or buy your equipment? Type of hive, mediums or deeps, # frames per box, type of foundation, packages or Nucs, solid or SBB, etc. etc.

It can all be a bit overwhelming...my advice would be to gather as much information as possible and make the choices that you think will work best for you and your bees.  This forum is a great place to kick ideas around and get opinions on both the pros and cons of most any beekeeping decision.

Keep us posted on your progress....
