Happy Hermit

 Hi all!

I've just joined beemaster.com and look forward to learning a great deal and interacting with many.  :)

I am a "new-BEE" and have not yet gotten my own bees and hives. I will be taking a beekeeping class beginning Feb 11th and look forward to it being my starting point for my bee adventures. I am interested in organic/natural beekeeping, especially for pollination purposes of fruits, vegetables, and everything else bees make possible! It will also be nice to have my own honey and no longer have to fret about paying nearly $20/quart and/or worrying there won't be enough honey to buy even if I save the money for it.

Hope everyone is having a great evening!

Welcome to a fantastic forum and a wonderful hobby. You will appreciate that 20.00 price when you have excess honey to sell.
You will also understand why it well deserves that value.

Welcome to the forum, Happy Hermit.  Ah you have already reached your starting point, and your addiction is just beginning.  I have never got 20 for a quart of honey, and this past year I didn't sell a drop. Didn't even sling any for myself.  If I have to choose between me or them having honey, they get it.  Everytime I checked they didn't have much, so I left it all.  I'll get some this year probably, this is the first year I haven't since I have had bees.  Good luck to you on your new adventure.

If you plan on keeping this year, you may want to look into getting bees ordered somewhere this month.
