It was announced in the greetings section, but Bud 6, the annual gathering of beekeepers from around the country ( and sometimes further  ;)) will be held at Buds home . You may need to plan ahead so I am making sure the notification is here in the club gathering section in addition to JPs previous announcement in the greetings forum.
Last year I had people PM me and I added them to a guest list just so they had a rough idea of how many were coming. I will start assembling the list today as well as some have already made their commitment to attend. If you would like to be added feel free to PM me and I will add you. And I know some are on an if I am able basis, so it's up to you if you would like your name added. Preregistration is not required, and as always there is not a fee for this weekend of activities.
 However I would like to point out that they spend money out of pocket to do this each year, so if you do attend, a donation to the hosts would be greatly appreciated I'm sure.

Here is directions to Buds from different points in the Southern region:

Am coming and bringing a friend.    His name is Bill Dixon , He helps me get bees, but gets stung every time  and swells, so wears pull-over.  JPBEEGETTER.    been my best friend for 60+ years. Looking forward to meeting all, talked to iddee (wally) said he couldn't come this year, and for me to have a good time. Joel Paul

I wish I could give a solid "Hell Yeah"  but unfortunately we are still playing it by ear.  It will most likely depend on how much I get done in the garden/farmlet next week and the weather and Mikel's new job.

Can you put us down as a strong maybe?  :}

Sorry to be so wishy washy.  If we come, we will be camping and bring supplies.  We don't eat much anyways. :p.

Hope to see you all next week.

love, ziffa

I'm all done minus an oil change on Wednesday, be in Meridian at 12:15 on Thursday.

ALMOST had a catastrophe today, I found out they change my flight from Philly to Atlanta, leaving me 18 minutes to go 2 terminals away to get the plane to Buds. There is no way to get there in 18 minutes, so I called and got booked on an earlier flight out of Philly giving me about 1.5 hours layover which is fine by me.

Just FYI, if you miss that noon flight to Bud's the next one arrives in Meridian at 9pm and that's a 10 hour layover in Atlanta. Glad I corrected that!!!

See you all either again or for the first time in just DAYS!!!!

Please enjoy the forum, and if it has helped you in any way, we hope that a small donation can be made to support our FULLY member supported forum. You will never see advertisements here, and that is because of the generous members who have made our forum possible. We are in our second decade as a beekeeping forum and all thanks to member support. At the top right of every page is a donations link. Please help if you can.

that's part of the reason we are flying into Birmingham.  didn't want to do another red eye.  it was also a lot cheaper.  would have rented a car either way, but the car out of AL was cheaper than a car from MS.  the two hour drive should be nothing  :-D

Tell Bud I was thinking about him this afternoon. I caught about a 7 or 8 lb. snapping turtle and dressed him out. Thought about Bud while doing it. Will be some nice bar-b-que one night this week.
