After a year I am finally almost done with the honey shed. It ain't pretty but I think it will work.

Nice!!. Looks like you will need to add some light. I hear you want to keep the doors closed (bees out) when you are extracting. Is that insulated? If not it may get very hot in there while you are working on a sunny day. I built a plywood shed for my garden stuff and had to add vents to keep it cool and dry. The first month it was up it started to get some moldy spots on the walls. I added vents and cleaned the walls and the problem has not returned. I would open it and you could just feel the hot wet air escape before the vents were cut in.
Hope that does not come across as picking on your fine shed. It looks quite nice!!!
I want to beelieve.

I will probably insulate it with foam board and cut in a vent. Picking is great gives me more ideas. Thank you.

If your bees are very close to the shed, you will want a good screen on the vent.  The last I did was in a 30x50 building with a 1x1 ft glass in the door, had some fans going, bees got in through a very small opening.  I turned off lights and finished with a clamp on desk lamp.  I have it air conditioned now.

2" insulation makes for an incredibly strong structure far suppier then none.

Looks like a nice shed. Nice clean set up. I second the venting. Do you have room for expansion?

Nice shed. Do you think you can get it certified as a bottling room.

expansion will be a 50x60 metal building that is sitting next to the shed that hasn't been put up yet. that will be a couple years. the pad for it will probably cost 15k.
