Last year I caught 14 swarms the year before that about 25.  This year with this winter we will be lucky to have a swarm season

jay  around here if I use that much oil, they will come in but leave, I use small bottles with smqll hole in it and the first thing they do is proplize hole

If Kevin told him to use 15 drops then it must be right.   Would have been a way better story if kevin had told him to wear womens clothing and hop on one ft while counting LG drops.

we all know LGO evaporates yes. wont stay in the box long.

after you catch them you can hold them with a queen excluder.

try it again before you knock it.

this did work for me and they are still there.

Lemon grass doesn't evaporate fast.   I use a syringe and dribble a few drops down the outside front of the trap and a couple in the entrance.  I refresh this every 2 - 3 weeks.   Just because the smell isn't strong like it came out of the bottle doesn't mean the bee's cant pick it up.

I've been trapping K9's for about 40 years.  One of the first things a new trapper needs to learn is don't over lure.  If a little is good alot isn't better.  Honey bee's sense of smell is right up there with K9's   They can smell in parts per trillion.  Here is a interesting video on using trained honey bee's as bomb detectors
