Look at death to virrioa mites General bee keeping

Interesting that toward the end they talk about it possibly being effective against SHB as well. But knowing the speed at which Australian regulatory agencies act it will take 20 years after varroa mite gets here before this will be cleared for use.

And already available here for other uses at $36 a litre/15000 mites from http://www.biologicalservices.com.au/hypoaspis-m.html

That's the fastest 20 years I've ever known.

Good to see there is a non chemical option for if/when the time comes.

Was quick wasn't it ... After posting thought it may be here and it was  - not approved for bees though but if that video is right it appears the bees are not affected and there is no harm to humans or the environment

Unfortunately not all the results are so rosy. "Bee Informed" ran some tests with beekeepers throughout the U.S. last year using Stratiolaelaps mites and the results were not conclusively positive. In some cases there was no benefit, they do not work on heavily infested hives, must be added continuously as there natural home is in the soil and it is expensive.
