Allen F kept throwing his tales in, so he are a couple of mine.

When my one son was three years old, he would play with a quite bossy little girl next door.  One day he came up to me and said "Mom, I know how to get girlfriends!"  "Oh, really!" I replied, "How?"
He said... "You give them money, presents, and let them make all the decisions."

While living in Illinois a number of years ago, my other son, who was five at the time, asked me if boys could marry other boys.  I told him "Not in this State.", and that held him off for a few years...
