Bottom board & pollen trap issues

Hi Everyone-
I'm gearing up to put a pollen trap on one of my hives & tried to block the main entrance & train the girls to enter upstairs.  Unfortunately, the bottom board is warped so they are squeezing in under the wooden entrance reducer.  I tried to add wedges / shims so they can only enter the hive in the upper box through the inner cover but its not working. They manage to remove what I install or find crevasses to access the hive/box.

I'm wondering if I need to install a new bottom board or scrap the pollen trap this year?  Last fall, I was sort of remembering I needed to fix the bottom board or shore up the gaps.  I guess I was thinking I'd do it this spring- Opps!  Am I the only bee keeper who remembers things that need to be done at the hive?

Anyone have any fixes?  I don't want to use caulk- blah! :)

Ask a wood worker in your area to make a 3/4" by 3" by @ 14 3/4" (the width of your opening) board and replace the reducer with that board.
