Beautiful swarm.

Swarms in our neck of the woods have been few and far between this year.
This winter polished off a bunch of tree bees around me.
Dan, that's looks like the easiest swarm you'll ever catch. You have all the luck buddy!

The real beauty of this swarm is it came from a five year old feral colony living in the walls of a old brick farm house.  This is the one I  took here last year.
This one was actually easier.  I simply slid a garbage bag over the branch before cutting it

Nice swarm Danno. I bet they will build up fast.

Thanks Jim
After cutting the branch with 90% of the swarm hanging on there was still a lot of bee's on the ground so I set a nuc with 5 drawn frames next to  them.  This morning I went and picked it up.  Another couple of pounds had marched in for the night.  I set them all up in a drawn 10 frame deep that they filled.  After work today I  will add a 2nd drawn 10 frame.   This is only my 5th this year.   I usually have 3 to 4 times that by now but they have all been quality.
