I'm looking for someone in or around NJ, USA. Who has skype or something of the sort. I'm a new beekeeper and have plenty of questions and could use some guidance! I'm really glad I found this forum!

A mentor is a good idea. Until then have a look around, use the search feature to look up past answers to your questions, then ask if you still need help. I know there are a few beeks here who live up your way. Welcome to Beemaster.
Quite difficult matters can be explained even to a slow-witted man, if only he has not already adopted a wrong opinion about them; but the simplest things cannot be made clear even to a very intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he already knows, and knows indubitably, the truth of the matter under consideration. -Leo Tolstoy

Candiebears;

Welcome to Beemaster. I'm not ashamed to tell anyone that this forum was my mentor. Attending Bud6 was another great boost of mentoring. A year ago last June I started out with 1 hive. (That was a mistake I got away with - should have got at least two) This year has been great for me. Right now I'm sitting back on 17. I had 18 twice but ended up combining twice. Read, read, read, ask, ask, ask. We don't mind, there's a wealth of knowledge on this forum and folks ain't too proud to share it either. I made a point to start at the newest thread and start reading backwards. When I got tired of reading I just saved where I was at to my favorite places. Then I picked up where I left off at the next time.
