Gluing jars underneath my TBH

Hi guys, saw a link somewhere where a guy had glued jar lids (with hole in top) so he could attach a jar under near with either sugar syrup or a trap for beetles. My question is, what sort of glue should I use to glue a metal lid to a plastic TBH? (Will provide link when I can find it). Screws aren't an option as the holes I've cut in lids are rather big, leaving a narrowish metal ring.

If your talking a bout feeding bees then do not use glue. just for grins do this
1 fill your jar with water then invert on the lid. what happens?

If you are talking boardman feeder you can invert the jar with 8 or 10 small holes (about the size of a thumb tack) do not glue it down.
drill a hole in your board to receive the jar lid smi tight not sliding through the hole. or place on two sticks

I ended up hearing nothing back so I used Gorilla Glue, which expanded 4X original size and created a good seal, which was necessary as it was on underside of a round drum. I plan on sealing any exposed glue etc with molten beeswax as well.

look closer the lid is screwed or nailed

Very interesting site.

Construction adhesive is IMO one of the best glues to use for stuff like this. It Dries relatively  fast but it stinks for a few days
