Dear beekeepers!

I'm a documentary film director from Republic of Georgia (not the Georgia USA, often mistaken). Our company mainly works on wildlife and environmental issues.
I would like to introduce you to our upcoming big film project (production in 2015-2016) called "Jara". In Georgian "jara" means a specially prepared hollow log that is put up there a tree in the middle of the forest to attract wild bees. Once a year a beekeeper comes to harvest honey. So one of those "jaras" will be a central character in this movie with all the wildlife around and local people - film is all about coexistence of pristine wildlife and traditional agriculture. Georgia is actually one of the very last places of Europe where it's still possible.

This is going to be quite a large scale film, with aerials, macro and studio shots combined with fauna filmed out there in the field.

I would be absolutely happy to provide you with any information on traditional Georgian beekeeping, if you are interested. On the other hand it would be amazing to have your advice or maybe some tips on fundraising (we have 75% of film budget already in place and still looking for some $35000. So far in contributors are: WWF Caucasus, Mercy Corps (it's a NGO, the biggest contributor), Georgian Public Broadcaster, Caucasus Nature Fund.
Maybe you do know, if there are any funds out there that are particularly interested in beekeeping promotion? Traditional agriculture VS wildlife issues?

Thank you so much in advance for any advice!

Best
