I don't understand how you keep nucs from swarming can someone please answer this

BeeMaster2

You place them in a standard hive.
If you want to keep it as a nuc, you can add a 5 frame super or you can remove a frame or 2 and add them to another hive or start another nuc.

Either you pull some frames out and give them other hives or put them in a bigger box.

Like they said, and in the spring you better stay on top of it. They don't take long. G

...or you do frequent splits to keep them from getting too strong, if you want more nucs...

ditto what Dallas said. This is such a pleasurable hobby.

Yes, we do this because we love it.  We'll never learn as much about bees as we need to learn, perhaps, but we'll keep working on it and nobody knows it all, so we have to keep asking questions and helping one another ... and enjoying the hobby.  Anybody who thinks he has all the answers is a big phony.  There are some on this forum, like iddee, Michael Bush, Sawdustmkr, and a bunch of others who can really help us with some experience and knowledge, and I'm very grateful for them.  Again, welcome to the forum.
