I am in my first year of beekeeping and new to Beemaster. I live outside of Portland on land where I can keep my bees. We are at 1300 ft elevation so we are cooler and have shorter growing seasons than the Willamette valley. I have 1 hive and am building my second one for next year. So far my bees have flourished in spite of me - I was even able to harvest 10 lbs. of honey this year  I look forward to learning as much as I can about my new hobby.

Welcome to Beemaster.  Lots of great people on this site that will be a big help.  One of our most active members is in Boring, OR, and she'll be very helpful to you, I'm sure.
