Holy queen cells!!

Did a cut out today. Found at least 25 swarm cells. All capped. Seemed like a lot of bees, maybe they hadn't swarmed yet. Anyway, was as gentle as I could be with them. Made two pretty full hives from this cut out. Saved 3 queen cells to make some swarm lure.

Question, I would like to wait till they hatch to punch them. If they don't, and are still in the larvae stage, will there still be pheromones?

They will have their strongest pheromones after they have been mated and start laying. Id put a couple frames of capped brood/bees into a nuc with those and see how they do!

I don't have any mating nucs made up, and just split my other hives so am short on resources.
