My plastic foundation is old and the bees will not attach the cone to it, they build along side of it. Maybe the wax is not good or gone. Can I put more wax on them? I've got a lot of them and just trying to get started again after loosing all my bees a couple years ago and was wondering if I should just get rid of them and go back to the real wax wired foundation.

I clean them down then re-wax them. I have had no problems. -Mike

Listen to others but make your own decisions. That way you own the results.

Psparr

I use a cheap crock pot from goodwill. Melt some wax in it and dip a brush in. Shake it off and paint the wax on. If you use a real light brush and quickly but gradually push harder it makes a pretty nice even coat. Tried a roller and it uses a lot of wax.

GSF

I do pretty much what psparr does. It makes a world of difference when they start to draw it out.
