Apparrently not.  The picture said it was 146 kb.  It was the only one I could find under the 200 kb range but still did not work.

I guess I need to look up what littlejohn told me to if I can find his post again.

I guess it did work even though the preview said invalid attachement.  These are my fondationless frames with the top bar cut at 45 degrees.
Now I need to find how to resize my other pics.

I saw that and also saw the heading for equiptment, tools and such.  I didn't think the posting would even work cause I had tried for a while and when it did work I just couldn't stop myself.  I just went to the most familer place to try it thinking it wouldn't work.  I don't mind if the moderators move it and I am not purposely trying to make work for them.  You gotta admit though that even though there isn't a question, it is pretty general beekeeping, rustic style.

I like the long hives. Are they setup as deeps or medium frames. I was thinking about that and wonder if medium frames would make the whole setup to small and chase a problem. Keep us posted on how it works and any issues you have.

I may never get bees in the long hives unless a swarm moves in (I did bait them).  They are medium which should put them close to the size of a brood nest for wintering in in my area with a frame or 4 for the honey super.  I tried to research a little but in the end just built them cause it was quick and I had run out of free wood at the time.

I did everything medium so everything fits everything (I mix up easily).

I am sure if I ever get the guts to fill them I will be here asking for advice.  I really like the lang set up cause I understand how to put a jar on it to feed and I don't know, just like them.  If I ever use the long hives I might like them better but I sorta doubt it.  It is a nice backup though if I ever got more then a few swarms.  I notice already that some of the boards I put on top have warped a bit and it makes me wonder about robbing issues and missing gaps that bees can get in. 

If I ever fill them, you guys will be the first to know.
