I second Jim's admonition. Be safe ! Safety of people comes first and bees next.

On a lighter note, as I read the subject line I also realized how my mind has been "trained" to think along certain paths.
"Here comes Michael. Get ready"
I immediately thought . . . "Why am I being warned about Michael Bush?"

So kudos to Michael Bush for achieving the immediate name recognition.
In the mean time I probably need to seek counseling . . . .

Funny.. my initiial thought was Bush, too. didn't take long to recall the Hairycane Michae forecast tho.

So far so good. We have a band going over us right now. Winds have picked up but not much rain. We had more rain from the bands of Michael yesterday than we have had today. Not a bad thing.

This Friday AM the Weather Channel now reports 1.4 million without power. All cell towers were knocked out in hurricane/s path. No food, no water, no power, no communication,,,, I am at a loss for words.

People prepare for hurricanes and have food and water and generators. FEMA will be there with ice bottled water and food and other necessities. Church congregations load up things to pass out and help clean up. Team effort. Most evacuated and are safe. The hard part is dealing with insurance and finding a timely honest contractor for repairs.

There was time to go to Biloxi or somewhere just before it got bad. I looked at traffic that day and it was moving. The day before was the traffic jam. I live in Louisiana and I would go if near the eye.

You are right, I would not leave for a cat 1 but we were expecting cat 3. I don?t ride out cat 3 hurricanes. And we had enough time to leave with this one.

I also thought Michael Bush was the subject!! Ah haa haa haa!! I was guessing you was having him speak at beefest!! I was in Destin until Monday and I decided to scat out!! Glad I left when I did!!
