siskosdad

My user name is siskosdad (explained in another thread) and I am from North Carolina.  I've long wanted to keep bees but have lived in an area that does not allow that to happen.  My daughter and her husband have purchased 16 acres of land "out in the country" and want me to start keeping bees there.

I am reading and studying everything I can about keeping bees and want to start with a couple of hives in the spring.  I'll be looking for advice from all y'all.
Each day, we get another trip around the circle.
Let's make this one better than the last.

Welcome to Beemaster.
Please update your location to North Carolina. Not many people will know what the Old North State is.
Thanks
Jim

Better yet, be more specific. It's a long ways from Dirty Ankle, NC to Bath, NC.      :cheesy:

I live in Cary, NC but my bees will be in Durham county.

All y'all are right ... it's a long way from one end of the state to the other.

Thanks. And Welcome.  A lot of friendly, knowledgeable beeks here.
