Hello all,
I have about 500 pounds of honey that has a slight smokey smell and flavor. I over smoked my hives because of robbing by smoking the screened bottom. I surely won't repeat this. My first question is would people buy smokey honey? if not, can I feed it back to my bees and hope that smoke goes away?
Thanks for reading. Potentially one entire season of honey production ruined.

You can maybe usw it for mking Mead, but i expect the smoke flavor to be to weak for a smokey taste and so string that it will disturb the taste.

Usw it for feeding splits

Ship it to Texas and call it barbecued honey.  Only half kidding.  Smoked meat is so big here that a new BBQ joint opens just about every week.

meading might work out.
500 lbs....would get You about 600 ltrs or 158 gallons.
got to be thirsty or open a market for it - I am in that position now.
should start with a smaller amount to try it first.

selling to a large bakery might work. reduced price, of course.

Thank you all. I am bringing a sample of it to my bee club and see what they think. I still consider feeding it back to the bees as I expand by apiary to 40-50 hives. Thank you all. Lesson well learned.
