Center of attention, is she?  Photo taken today,  Thursday September 5,2019.  Photo taken without smoking, bare handed as my iPhone does not work with gloves.  My point, very gentle calm bees for September.

I have been around bees a long time, since birth.  I am a hobbyist so my answers often reflect this fact.  I concentrate on genetics, raise my own queens by wet graft, nicot, with natural or II breeding.  I do not sell queens, I will give queens  for free but no shipping.

Another photo taken same time as above pic, light is different for some reason.  I just point and click.

Great picture, Van.  I like the fuzzy newly hatched worker to the right of the queen.
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

I noticed that also, on right of queen: all fuzzy for sure, probably hours old.

Look at that big butt and those hairy legs!
That should be enough to get any rightful beekeeper excited!
When the lid goes back on, the bees will spend the next 3 days undoing most of what the beekeeper just did to them.

Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)

I?m calling her Lucinda - bet she makes a great cream corn.
I like southern queens.

I still cannot look at queen pics and think that narrow body is any bigger than the workers to trap by excluder

Funny - I knew it was you after I posted. As I read your post , I imagined her hail britania
So I wanted a southern gal. What a maroon!!! I so can?t wait to manage enough bees one day
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Then all else falls in line
It?s up to me

Mr. Herb: What a good laugh, I almost fell backwards in my chair laughing.  Beekeeper porn. That is a good one.
