I just watched a video by one of our members here, "Florida Bee Rancher". He was showing how he uses a fogger to treat his bees and the simple method he now uses. Have any of you used the fogger method?

Nope. Fogging is very different to sublimation (vaporizer) or dribbling (liquid). I've not yet seen any evidence that adding OA via a "fogger" has any affect on varroa.
It looks good though!

I personally do not want to spray... Hot oil or gristrin on live bees..

Thanks Jim, Again I was asking about fogging in general. It was not my intention to specify or narrow down any particular 'method' of fogging. Meaning different ingredients which might be used or involved in fogging applications from one persons method/ingredients of fogging to another persons method/ingredients of fogging. I do know that it is done and folks have been doing if for some time. Therefore I did not post the video in the first place. Ingredients was not my question, but fogging in general.

This video was a simple 'reminder' 'to me' of that 'fact', (there are other methods of treating bees out there beside the method I use) and some folks fog, fogging being one of those ways. For you that fog was my question.  Jim you have been around for a while, most likely seen it all by now. If you have fogged using these ingredients or other ingredients what was your experiences, and evaluation of those experiences? Successful? Satisfactory? Unsatisfactory? Etc.

For any of you that fog, or have fogged in the past, your shared experiences will be appreciated.  Have you been successful in your endeavors? Or did you once do so to find it was not up to par? What problems did you find, if any? Was fogging, no matter the ingredients of your method used, particle in your use? What are the pluses verses the minuses? I am not attempting to uplift fogging nor degrade the method but simply to understand the results of it in your experiences using it.

Thanks,

Phillip

Tested out the fogger on a number of colonies some years ago. It proved to be a total waste of time and money.
Despite my efforts the bees are doing great

Can't be any plainer than that!  Between your, Jim 134, and NigelP's answer,  I am glad I have a PID controlled OA Vaporizer...Thanks Mr. MCquilkin.
