Okay and who has Rock Bees and what is this hinged comb?

The article reads:  "Researchers say this particular bee species builds a single hinge-open comb."

I don't know the term but looking at the photo it seems to me that a "single" would refer to just one layer of comb rather than several combs seperated by a "bee space".  "Hinge-open" would refer to the "L" shaped comb.  If you look closely, it looks like a second "single hinge-open" comb beyond the first and then a third beyond that.

The story seems to support this by the other quote: "A senior officer said there was only one honeycomb initially and the bees had built two more. A fourth one was also coming up on the building, said the officer."

I REALLY don't know what I am talking about.  I'm just observing a photo and making a supposition!

Ok, who else wants to give this a shot?
