Thought I'd start a quick thread to help each other with ideas and sharing knowledge, tips, and tricks. This can be for both tools we use while working bees or for the equipment we build. I know there's lots of threads with plans or links to plans for building jigs, hives, frames, etc. Probably some that have recommendations for tools to be used in the building of equipment as well. Thought maybe it would be helpful to have a thread with commonly used tools, websites, materials we all use for doing what we do.

To start things off I've recently come across a useful website that provides cut lists based on the requirements  and material specs you input.  It's proven useful in a couple non-bee related projects, thought it would be useful here. Happy building and making!

Tools:

For altnerative hive tool, we watched a UK beekeeper on youtube and he suggested to try a decorator tool with multiple uses.

I can see the benefit of a wider tool for clearing the burr comb off multiple frames and lids quicker. But nothing beats tried and proven.
