good morning to everyone. when supering a hive whats the best way to introduce the frames into the hive. do i just put on the box with the frames or intersperse empty frames with drawn out ones.

Michael Bush

The problem with drawn and undrawn alternated in supers is they often ignore the foundation and draw the others fatter until they almost meet in the middle.

that is what i have realized was happening so how do i get them started on the undrawn frames?

Michael Bush

Give them a box full of undrawn frames tightly crammed together in the middle.  When they need the space they will draw it.
