I would like to add here that empty full size hive body with frames weigh approx. 10 kg!
In pounds; full size hive body - ten full frames will be around 90 - 100 in also over 100 lbs.!!
Medium goes around 65 lbs,
Shallow will be around 45 lbs.
Of course, can be more if bees thickened the comb on loaded frames.  .  .  .  .

They say a gallon weigh 12 lbs..?  I will make an educated guess -
around 8 gallons will be a safe bet.  .  .  .

didn't mean to put you on the spot. just trying to sort out some figures and projections for my hives. Our flow period is just about to start and i seem to be ahead of the game.

A pint is a pound (16 ounces) the world around except for honey. A pint of honey is 20 ounces.  Eight pints to the gallon makes for 160 ounces (10 lbs) instead of the usual 128 ounces (8 lbs) for a normal gallon.  A deep super will weigh in at about 80 lbs of harvestable honey (the rest being box, frames, and wax) or 10 gallons.  A medium super with 40 lbs harvestable honey would yeild half as much.

For round numbers I figure 24 ounces, but it's actually, depending on honey content, almost always 23 ounces.
