Hi all,

Is it ok if I remove the feeder box because i feed my bees with sugar solution in a plastic bag and put it on top of the frames just below the inner cover. Can someone explain how to use the feeder box ( the frame box).

Thanks.

Where you are and why you feed?

If you feed for winter big quantity of syrup you should keep you inner cover on or use temporary inner cover. It keeps hive warm and bee may dry up syrup and cap cells.  Hive should be very warm when they handle wax and cap cells.

Frame box and dry sugar in it is ment to emergency feeding in spring.

Have you pic from you feeding box. Palstic bag feeder I do not know. I use only upper boxes
