They all looked like this. It took them less than a month to draw and fill the 4 frames. I was probably a week late in pulling the frames. The bearding was due to a lack of space maybe and I guess they have been fanning all the honey. It was only about 22c when I opened the hive, but I could feel a lot of heat rising from it. Quite surprising really shows how many of the buggers are in there.

The remaing four frames are full bar an inch strip on the bottom of one.

They are still keen on building comb under the lid and to join the bottom of the frames in each box to the one above.

The middle box is chocka block full of honey . There were no larvae in the bottom of any of the frames I pulled. There were a few a month ago. Maybe the big spring emergence is over?

I notice this lot of frames are a lighter type of honey than I got over winter.

It was interesting to see that when held up to the sun, each frame has about 6 scattered cells of propolis or something on each side. Maybe its bee medicine or something for emergencies.

Beautiful frame of honey, nice pic.  I guess it is summertime where you live. Cindi

It can't get any better than that. Very impressive.  :-D
