What is bedding down I'm sorry but I don't know some of the Beekeeping Nomenclature.

Kirko, what was the context of the sentence it was used in?  In garden lingo, "bedding down" means to turn under the plants, pull the bulbs or rhizomes and store indoors, if it was beekeeping, I would imagine it just means "getting the bees" ready for winter, preparation for the bees to be "inside" for the winter, etc.  I'm sure there are other thoughts that will be coming in for you.  Great day. Bedding down was used by a Beekeeper.Maybe there is a definition.

context-the entire sentence or part of the conversation, so that we know in what way the term was used.

for animals, it usually means seeing to them at night.  feeding, watering, maybe putting them in the barn or pen.  i "bed down" camping by banking the fire, pitching out the sleeping bag, etc.

Bedding down for bees is preparing them for winter.
