Starting anew colony, Nuc or Deep super

If I wanted to start a new colony, move some frames of brood etc..So the bees would make a new queen. Should I use a Nuc or deep super where they will end up anyway. When is the best time to do this?

Use the nuc if you have one.  Limiting the space until they need it will relieve a lot of stress on a small colony.

If you do a cut down, where you remove all the open brood and the queen from the old hive, you can do this two weeks before the flow and actually get more honey as a result because the old hive will have no open brood to care for.
