When 8 of the 10 frames are  drawn and filled, add another super!

drawn and filled and CAPPED? should they be capped before i add another honey super?

TwT

once you see them drawn out put another, some time during a flow on a big hive they can fill 3 supers in a week or so, it will surprise you, depending on how good the flow is, but add another when they get 7 or 8 frames drawn out...

I talked to a local beekeeper the other day and he said he only uses 1 super at a time per then robbs it about every week or so. He caution against using more than 1 per. Anyone else hear of this?

Everybody has their own preferences.  Personally robbing the bees every week makes for a lot of extra work.  Most people use multiple supers and harvest once, maybe twice, in order to maximize work effort.

However, if you have limited equipment then by all means just use 2 supers and rotate.
