A few days ago I changed the size of the entrance reducer from small to large and without thinking about it, switched the openng from the right side to the left.   I noticed immediately that this confused the bees however I didn't want to change it again because the reducer sticks quite a bit and is hard for me to manipulate.  So I just left it.  I thought the bees would adjust.

This morning while observing the hive I noticed that most of the bees still fly to the right side, encounter it blocked, and walk over to the entrance on the left.  Its kind of pleasant to see them make this little journey however,  I'm surprised to find they haven't learned that the entrance on the right is blocked.  And wonder how long it may take before they mostly fly right to the opening on the left.  I know there is not hard and fast answer.  I just find it interesting.

They will take a day or two to adjust. But they will adjust.
