I have been reading Michael's web site "Bee Math". Please help me understand the math as it relates to my hive.

3/31 new package installed
4/17 discovered capped queen cell
4/20 moved frame with queen cell to queenless hive
4/29 cell still capped; hive still queenless

It has been 13 days since I discovered the cell. Should she have already emerged several days ago or do I not understand the math. This hive needs a queen.

Dead cell. They are very fragile when capped.

It should have emerged by the 25th at the latest.

Yes.

Yes it does.  Did you check the cap to see if it's been opened and then the "door" closed?  Sometimes it's like a tin can lid and it gets folded shut after the queen emerges.  If so, you may have a virgin who will start to lay in a week and a half or so.
