Andrew Weil is mentioned in the article. Wow I have never seen crediblity in an article vanish so fast. I think I may have to start posting Weekly World News articles on bees.

they really are stupid with the whole cell-phone CCD idea... COME ON!!!! ok so..bee-house positioned under high voltage lines, yes the queens rearly do succed in fertilization or evene returning, this is a fact. but this nonsense they're trying to sell...oh dear, most of CCD affected bees were in less contact with modern gadgets (those that emmit EMW) than mine...(these bees were most of the time in the field away from everything, right? or on the road to other EMW free are?)

Yes I agree with the high powdered  lines.

But, what kind of signal does a cell phone use?

What kind of signal does a bee use?

Bees put the picture of the area in their road map brain.

I don't see how a wave signal could interfear.

I could be wrong, I have a 10 frame brain.

Europe has many more cell phones per capita compared to the US and has been that way for quite some time.  Long before the advent of CCD

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

When a writer can't spell pollination (pollinazation??) correctly and takes quotes out of context to support a weak hypothesis (at best), I can't help but totally doubt the accuracy of anything the person has written. After reading this (cavemen and pterodactyls coexisting? please...), I can't help but to be thankful that the Europeans brought the honey bee to the Native Americans, who surely must have been on the brink of starvation without these wonderful little pollinators.

This guy is a humorist, and his articles should probably be taken with a grain of salt, but I regularly see quotes from The Onion presented as factual. Thus, the truly sad thing is, there are people who will read this article, will believe it to be true, and will not look any deeper into the issue.
