Lantana

I don't know what it is about these plants but I really can't stop looking at them. Mine aren't as lush as the ones pictured on the internet but they seem to attract butterflies. I haven't seen any bees on them yet but I always assume that butterfly plants were good for bees too. When they become lush their flowers become mesmerizing to look at. With the exception of the Purple ones all of the colors are hot and vibrant, bursting with saturation, I can see why butterflies go for them.

My mother has lantana around the beach house, it is a good hedge. Here it is called lantana too  :)
I have seen bees bees on them only during the winter, when bees can´t find something better. I have any photos of lantana in this slide show.

Wow, what beautiful flowers.  Abejaruco, I loved the last picture of the blue flower, that shade is surely an eye catcher, bees love blue and yellow!!!!  Have a wonderful day, great life, great health.  Cindi
