Sugar syrup question

Was just wondering how long syrup will keep in a top feeder befor needing changed.

I think he means til it spoils. And I'm not sure.

Thats exactally right I was just curious as to how long it would keep before spoiling so as not to hurt any bees.

sugar syrup doesn't spoil. It carmelizes. As long as the sugar isn't exposed to extreme hot/cold, don't worry about it.

The stronger the syrup, the longer it keeps.  2:1 lasts far longer than 1:1.  The more acidic, the longer it lasts.  Some Ascorbic acid, or some vinegar makes it last longer.  Essential oils make it last longer (wintergreen, lemongrass and peppermint are the only ones I've tried).  A clean feeder will make it last longer.  If the feeder is moldy you need to clean it with distilled vinegar.
