Quite a difference a year makes.  Last year, I had harvested about 120 pounds of honey by this time, but today, the first harvest yielded all of 20 pounds.  :-x.  Less than one medium super, that is for sure.  Oh well, it was very good honey anyway, so that is the saving grace of the situation.  We are dry in South Alabama, just like last year, but the drought has hit just a little sooner than last year.  I honestly don't know where they are getting any nectar right now, and the issues I had earlier with no queens seems to be resolved....So maybe if it rains, we will get more during the next few days.  If no rain, I guess this will be a year of getting them through!

dont feel bad, the drought around the south east has killed a lot of flows this spring, only thing saved me this year was the tulip poplar, I might have about 15 mediums so for, might not have that many..... need to check soon, wee need some rain bad...
