I have a hive in a horse barn. My dad has a 57 chevy pick-up in the barn he wants to start restoreing. He wants to get the bees out so he can work in the barn in peace. The hive is three deeps. 2 bood boxes and 1 deep super. They have 2 frames drawn out with 50% capped honey and are working on about 6 others at the same time. Is it okay to move in the middle of a honey flow? If so when is the best time of day or night to move the hive? I don't want to mess up this will bee the first harvest for me.

I wait till dark and plug the entrance of the box then I strap the boxes together with ratchet straps and move it with a dolly.
then after I have moved it I unplug the entrance and put a board in front of the entrance with grass also put in the front so they have to move the grass and get used to the new surroundings. After the first day I move the board I propped against the front so they have a easier flight into the hive after that.
