Ernest T. Bass

I chose Ernest so people will respect me. I might be a bit mean, but I make up for it by being real healthy!

If you don't know, don't ask. :)

Have a minute to burn? Perhaps you'd like to check out some of the movies that my siblings and I like to make...

wisconsin_cur

It is a way to pay homage to my background and my current home... in many ways it describes who I am.

A cur is a dog, generally from the mid-south who is, technically, a mutt but still carefully bred for positive characteristics.  They are used to hunt squirels and raccoon, to work as a guard dog, and to be good with children.  They are bred to be good all around dogs.  Needless to say, you want to know your breeder if you go out to buy one.

While I come from the mid-south, while I am more a jack of many trades than a specialist in one and sometimes speak a little too slow, I currently live in wisconsin and love it here.  Winters beside the fire, cooler summers and the people up here are pretty good to.

The avatar is not a cur, however.  Perhaps I will get a good picture of one of mine (they look very different) in the near future and replace it.

I use my son's baby name. He is a splendid young man now, and it serves to remind me of many things.

Hello and Welcome Gardeningfireman

applebwoi

When I was younger, my little brother called me boy a lot but he pronounced it like bwoi. Later I began growing apples as a hobby and I became "applebwoi". Easy, eh?

BruinnieBear

The Bruinnie part combines our two names, (Bru)ce & M(innie), and reflects both our fascinations with Ursus.  I know this might be disconcerting to those who have been bothered by bear intrusions into their yards, but we live far enough south in Wisconsin to see them as a source of wonder, rather than a pest.

We chose the "puzzled gorilla" avatar for, both, our lack of knowlege in keeping bees and the lack of a bear pic in the default choices.  If I can figure out how to get my own pic up without a personal website, it will probably be of Jerry Bears (long term taste in music).
