Toga

My username is the same on 99% of forums and is my real life nic-name and was first used by one of my early aquaculture mentors. We were collecting brood stock for his fish farm and were targeting some rare perch, grunters and fresh water sawfish in the Northern Territory. For every target fish collected, I managed to collect a Jardini Saratoga. My friend shouted out Togajoe and the nic has stuck for 30 years.

Bcharmer13

Well when I started beekeeping over 10 years ago people were amazed that I kept bees. It reminded me of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes when Ruth stated calling Idgie a bee charmer. That and the number 13 represents coming full circle, like a wedding band :)

Starry-eyed Beek

Starry-eyed is what my husband says I am when I'm watching m :)y bees! Lol

Phil

Tarheelbilly

Charis is from North Carolina and graduated from UNC. Ben is from West Virginia and is a proud hillbilly. She's just country enough to have agreed for the name of our apiary.
Tarheelbilly Apiary

BlueBee

Sounds like a good combination there Tarheelbilly.

Now how about the real mystery?  What pray tell is a "Tarheel" in the first place!

undertherock

WELL, we live in the colorado Rockies 30 miles one way to town, on 40 acres with are chickens.dogs kids and all the wild life you can stand. Elk, bears, mountain lions, bighorn sheep ,wild turkeys, mule deer the list goes on and on.But my husband and I always tease our kids that we live under a rock because we are so sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the real world, and they always reply "but we like it this way" yep, life is good!!!!

twin1

I,m an Identical Twin and was the first born.  Started bee Keeping with my Grandfather in law.  Loved it ever since.  Trying to get back into keeping bee's.  I've been more or less a "bee haver" than keeper the last few years.

Just5398

My username is tried and true, "Just" because my second son was going to be named Justin and "5398" because that was my due date.  Neither of which stuck!  lol He was named Colin and he was born 3 weeks early.

skarrob

Skarrob is a name the computer suggested one time. So i decided to use it. Stuck with me for over ten years.

rclink

Well Rclink is just a shortn'd way to write my name, the funny thing is I fly RC aircraft and everyone thinks it RC-link....  :-D

patriotgirlie

I love my country (the way it SHOULD be, anyways) and it makes me proud to live here...

tinadaisy

When I was a child, my parents gave me a Snoopy stuffed animal. I immediately named it "Snoopy Daisy", although I don't remember why.  After that my parents started calling me Tina Daisy as a term of endearment.  It always makes me smile when I think of that.

James M. Wagner

Dixie Books was the name of my bookstore in Alabama. Soon after going into the book business I got on the internet and dixiebooks was the natural name to use for email and my URL (www.dixiebooks.com, which no longer exists).

I really do need to change it.
